Bob Hope

The USO shows that brought a little bit of the States to the battlefield, were very important morale boosters for the GI's. Bob Hope of course, was a favorite during World War II, and in succeeding wars and police actions. Jack Benny brought his infamous violin and "stingy" persona to the GI's. Bill and the other Signal Corps photographers were fortunate to get close to these stars of the Movies and Radio and take these pictures. There were other entertainers also, including; Larry Adler, the harmonica virtuoso, and Marlene Dietrich, famous actress, who I believe entertained for our side. (Just kidding of course).
